Hello everyone
I know I said that I would have a schedule but life has been a little hectic lately. I've been working, trying to find a flat and getting ready for going back to tech in just over a week's time. So I've thrown the idea of a schedule out the window and I'll just be posting as often as I can about anything I feel like writing at the time.
In this post I'm going to be talking about two new stories I've started writing. I'm very excited about them! They both feature on my Wattpad Account: https://www.wattpad.com/user/dawnsblush
They are both historical novels, but different in many ways. Below I will give a brief description of each with a synopsis and then talk a little bit about my ideas for them, without giving away the full plot. Both contain mystery, with a bit of romance thrown in just to make sure things don't get too deep and dark.
Hope you enjoy reading about them! Both books will be getting new covers soon, so stay tuned for those too :) And you can follow the links to view the stories in all their glory, on my Wattpad profile.
Have a wonderful weekend and I'll talk to you in my next post!

FORGOTTEN
Synopsis: Life on the plantation was wonderful, until Esme's father died. Celestine Plantation is falling into disrepair and Esme's mother is slowly dying too.Her brother Robert takes over the plantation and his kind treatment of his slaves is less than agreeable to the neighbouring plantations. Especially John Blackhawk, who rapes and whips his own slaves, one of whom is now hiding at Celestine, with a newborn.Esme's mother soon passes away and they bury her beside their father. While digging the hole, they find the bones of what appears to be a mother and child, in an embrace. Soon after, strange events start to take place at the plantation and Esme is afraid.Something happened at this plantation, and someone is trying to remind them about what they've all forgotten...

This story is really exciting to write because it mainly consists of mystery, but also explores the relationship between two sisters and their brother, as they try to solve the mystery and are left to run the cotton plantation without their parents. There will some romance in this story, but it won't be the main focus of the story - the trick will be to figure out which of the siblings is the one to find love? I have planned this story out very carefully, paying close attention to major events that took place in the early 1820s, so that this story is as historically accurate as it possibly can be.
MOORETON HOUSE
Synopsis: Aunt Sapphire has passed away, leaving no children. Her large fortune is passed down to her brother's only child, Essie Compton. Essie inherits a large fortune, which includes in Aunt's beautiful estate Mooreton House. However she is only entitled to her inheritance when she is married. And Essie has no desire to marry. Essie's Father arranges for Mr Leonard Ballard to stay at their home, in the hopes that Essie will fall in love with him and they will marry. But Essie doubts Mr Ballard's true intentions. And then certain circumstances arise that threaten Essie's claim to the fortune. Who is the mysterious man that walks the grounds of Mooreton House?

This story is also very exciting to write! It also holds some mystery, but it's probably more of a romance, at least compared to the story above. I have the whole story figured out in my head, right up to the end and I'm very excited to write this. It is set in the mid-1800s, so a little bit different to the above story, but their mannerisms would have been quite similar. The things that fascinates me about the Regency Era and Victorian Era, is the stunning clothing they wore! So pretty! I wish we could still walk around like that and wear fancy dresses all the time. Even the 'day dresses' were stunning. And to think, they were just used for sitting in the drawing room, with a book or cross-stitch. Again, I will be paying close attention to events that took place in the era of my story, so that this book is also as historically accurate as possible.
