Hello 2016! Update and new schedule

Hello everyone!

Welcome to 2016! Well we are nearly a week into 2016 but I haven't had internet for a couple of weeks, so I'm now finally able to update my blog!

So a few updates:

I had an absolutely amazing Christmas with my beautiful family. My dad, my mum, my sister and my brother. And of course our two dogs went along too. We stayed at our family lake cabin and really relaxed. It was so lovely.

We did our Secret Santa gift swaps and it was so exciting!

I bought for my brother and got him: a t-shirt, a book, headphones and a bag of M&Ms.

My brother bought for my dad and got him Dan Carter's new book.

My dad bought for my mum and got her a beautiful infinity ring.

My mum bought for my sister and got her a set of Egyptian Cotton sheets.

And my sister bought for me and got me a stunning cutlery set from Stevens.

We had so much delicious food and had such a lovely time all together!

Then it was my dad's birthday on the 28th. My brother, sister and I bought him a new wallet - Kangaroo Leather!!

And mum got him some new shorts, pants, boxers.

It was so special to spend the day with him. My sister left that afternoon to come home.

New Years was spent with some family friends and some neighbours.

On January 4th I turned 22! I had such an amazing day with my dad, mum and my brother. We relaxed at the lake cabin. Dad and my brother helped the back neighbours build a new fence - they finished it yesterday on January 5th.

For my birthday breakfast I requested bacon, eggs and pancakes.

For my birthday presents, my parents got me: a mason jar soap dispenser and toothbrush holder, a 1000-piece puzzle (which I've already built), two recipe books, a mini bottle of Untold perfume, two bars of chocolate, a pack of Butterfinger chocolate pieces. From my brother I got another 1000-piece puzzle.

And then came the biggest surprise: My sister came through that afternoon to surprise me! She'd sent a text earlier in the day to wish me a happy birthday and say she wished she could be there with me. I said I wished she could be there too. Turns out she'd already organized with dad on January 3rd, to be there for my birthday! It was such a lovely surprise!

We all went out for dinner at a restaurant called Mac's in Rotorua and my sister stayed the night. She stayed for most of the following day.

It was such an amazing holiday and I'm so happy I could spend it with my family. They are such incredible people and I am so lucky to have them. Love them infinity.

My brother and I came back home last night and tomorrow night my sister is coming to our house for dinner. I'm looking so forward to seeing her again!

On Saturday my friend Natalie is coming for lunch and to hang out and help me set up for my that night. I am having a birthday bash with my friends. We are going ten-pin bowling and them coming back to our house for pizza and to hang out. Looking forward to that too.

2015 finished on a really high note and I am really excited to see what 2016 has in store for me. I'm finishing my degree at the end of the year, and I'm hoping to move out of home within the next couple of months - would love to start a segment on my blog about flatting tips, budget-friendly meal ideas, etc.
